The works in the show utilise modest and direct means – including works in pencil, paint and ink along with photographic works which record and celebrate everyday happenstances.

The Making of...

I completed a day at The Illustration Gallery, in Stroud last Friday as part of their current exhibition. The idea was that each artist would create the artwork in the gallery during the day and it would be hung at the end of that day. The exhibition is growing week by week as each artists adds their work. Here are some images from the day before (screenprinting my basic design) and some of work in progress. More printing pictures can be found on the workshop blog...

For now here are a few of the illustrations I did for French hypermarket Monoprix, which unfortunately doesn't look like it will be going out after all, but I guess that's what happens sometimes!

This one made it!

This is the one that ended up on Cherry's wall!

The one that didnt make it...

I am just putting together Cherry's new A-Z in a big frame but there is a blank space where the last one was(bad dad!). So I thought I would put an interim piece up while I finish it.She is crazy about birds at the moment, so I reckoned a bird picture would be good... but then decided this one was too dark!!
